1. What are you doing now?

Currently, I am a supply teacher for the York Region District School Board (YRDSB). I teach elementary students from kindergarten to grade 6.

2. What are your top athletic achievements?

Team Ontario U15 (2012) and U17 (2013)
Playing in the NCAA (Niagara University, NY) and OUA for UofT Women’s Basketball

3. What are your top academic/professional achievements?

Graduating Teachers College at York University and beginning to work as an educator.

4. What are your favourite basketball memories/experiences?

Going to Italy with U of T Women’s Basketball in my third year (2018). We went to multiple cities including Rome, Venice, Florence and Treviso. We got the opportunity to compete against professional teams in Italy as well sight see each city.

5. What is your favourite memory from your time with Troyka?

Playing House League with the names of different NBA teams and skills competitions: Three point, Free Throw and Ball Handling.

6. How has Troyka contributed to your success?

It made me fall in love with basketball and competing. It motivated me to continue pursuing basketball even further. It also allowed me to form more friendships where some have developed into life long ones. Lastly, maintaining meaningful connections to the Toronto-Serbian community.

7. What do you think are the most important areas for young athletes to focus on?

I believe the most important areas for young athletes to focus on is skill development. If you can find extra time to refine your skills outside of practice or games, you will go very far!

8. Any final thoughts you’d like to share with the next generations of Troyka athletes?

Make sure you always find enjoyment in the game of basketball and in anything else that you do!
